More About Me

Described as a “tour guide” by her daughter, Ana Scott says one of her greatest joys in real estate is helping someone who is new to the area to relocate full time or find the perfect home for investment purposes. Ana began her career with Treasure Realty in 2009, in the rental department. In 2015, she transitioned into sales and has been successful ever since.

Experience and Expertise:
Focusing on Onslow County, Ana has an adaptive personality. She understands the importance of investments and of long-term property management or vacation rentals, particularly given her years of experience on the rental side. She is skilled in explaining to sellers how much their property is worth, adding that she can communicate with multiple generations, to share her expertise in real estate.

Ana moved into sales in 2015 and says that she has a lot of repeat clients, something she takes pride in as a big accomplishment as it “shows my character and reputation”. She adds that, “I have never focused on quantity, but instead on quality. It is more important for me to provide quality service to my clientele, instead of trying to focus on gathering more clients.”

Ana says she likes introducing people to the area, going into detail explaining the benefits of what the Topsail Island and surrounding mainland communities have to offer. She says, “buyers need someone to guide them and explain what each unique town can do for them.”

Personal Life:
Ana grew up in this area, went to a local high school, and then attended Cape Fear Community College. She transferred to a technical school in Charlotte and obtained a degree in production. That led to positions with a NBC News channel, the Charlotte Hornets, and an inspirational channel.

As she describes it, Ana was living on top of the world in Charlotte, loving life in this new and exciting career. Things took a turn in Ana’s life, and she decided she missed the salt air and sandy shores. When her mother became ill, she decided to take a year off from production and help care for her mother. During that time, she started cleaning vacation homes on Saturdays, a job that gave her the ability to spend more time with her mother.

“One day”, she says, “I decided to stop cleaning vacation properties and to start selling them.” She went to real estate school and to work as a receptionist for a builder where she learned that aspect of real estate along with the building side of the business. After completing school, she went to work at Treasure Realty, starting on the rental side at the urging of owner and founder Richard Baker.

Family is Important:
Ana understands the importance of family life. She is always available to work around her clients’ schedules because she knows being a real estate agent means being available and accommodating to her clients. On the other hand, Ana enjoys having a career in Real Estate because it provides flexibility for her own time to be with family. “Having a teenage daughter, it is important to take my work with me wherever I need to go .”

Focus and Character:
Ana is focused on continuing to help her clients, as she deeply understands the important things in life for them, particularly what that home, that location is going to provide. Her clients trust her, even when she doesn’t know the answer herself, she finds the answer they need. She believes that genuine one-on-one contact can make a difference to each person. Ana understands that owning and investing in real estate is a great opportunity, she currently has invested in property on Topsail Island as well as the mountains of West Virginia. She loves helping other people reap the benefits of what she has received in real estate investment.

The value of her work and her trustworthy character is shown in her repeat clients, who recognize her honesty and integrity. Ana explains that she continues to keep in mind the words of her parents, who “always taught me the worst thing you can do is provide doubt in your character.”
